Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Nimbus Peak Solutions(“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the I Was There! mobile app and the iwasthereconcerts.appwebsite (together, the “Service”).
The short version: I Was There! is built to need as little of your data as possible. The concert stubs you create stay on your device, we don’t require an account, and we don’t track you across apps or websites.
Information we collect
Content you create (stored on your device)
The concerts and ticket stubs you add — artist, venue, date, seat or section details, ticket style, and any photo you choose for a custom ticket — are stored locally on your device. This content is not transmitted to us or stored on our servers. It is removed when you delete the entry within the app or uninstall the app.
Concert search queries
When you use the in-app concert search, the terms you enter (an artist name, and optionally a location and year) are sent to our servers to return matching shows. To generate results, those search terms are processed by our third-party AI provider, Anthropic. We do not attach your name, account, or device identifiers to these queries, and we don’t use them to build a profile of you. As with any internet request, our servers and providers may briefly process technical information such as your IP address to deliver and secure the response.
Purchases
Optional purchases (such as removing the ticket stamp or a subscription) are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We don’t receive or store your payment card details. We receive confirmation from the app store that a purchase was completed so the app can unlock the corresponding feature, handled on your device.
App version checks
On launch, the app may contact our servers to check whether an update is available. This is a standard request and does not send us your personal information.
What we do not collect
- We don’t require an account, name, email, or password to use the app.
- We don’t use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
- We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
- We don’t access your photo library beyond the specific image you choose to add to a ticket.
How we use information
- To provide core features, including returning concert search results.
- To process purchases and unlock paid features through the app stores.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the Service, including preventing abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How information is shared
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:
- Anthropic — processes concert search terms to generate results.
- Hosting/infrastructure providers — operate the servers and website that deliver the Service.
- Apple and Google — process purchases and app distribution under their own privacy policies.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.
Sharing you initiate
When you tap share to send a ticket stub image, your device’s own share sheet sends that image to the destination you choose (for example, a messaging app or social network). That content is then handled by the app or service you selected, under its policies — not ours.
Data retention
Content you create is retained on your device until you delete it. Search queries are processed to return results and are retained only transiently and in server and provider logs for a limited period for security and reliability before being deleted in the ordinary course.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS for data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Your choices and rights
Because your stubs live on your device, you can view, edit, or delete them at any time in the app, and uninstalling the app removes them. Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us at apps@nimbuspeaksolutions.com. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
International users
We operate in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be reflected here.
